Tom McThenia, Intellectual Property and Technology Attorney, GrayRobinson PA

Bio: 

Tom's practice spans Intellectual Property, Technology, Licensing, Internet, and Commercial Transactions. Tom is a registered patent attorney with extensive experience in IP protection, licensing, and technology issues affecting consumer products and associated companies.  He has been fortunate to represent a wide array of clients from multi-national corporations, universities, and non-profit organizations to entrepreneurs, emerging growth investors, and technology companies.  Tom also brings a unique consumer industry perspective through his time in private practice and as in-house legal counsel for two global organizations (The Coca-Cola Company and Cru).  Tom provides strategic counsel on IP portfolio management, licensing, supply-chain, manufacturing and commercialization issues and agreements, representing clients on all sides of IP, technology and commercial transactions as well as mergers and acquisitions in the US and internationally.  He has also been active in e-commerce, software and internet-related legal issues since the 1990s. Tom holds an engineering degree from Duke University and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. Tom is admitted to practice in Florida, Virginia, North Carolina and the USPTO.  He currently works out of GrayRobinson’s Gainesville and Orlando, Florida offices. 

   

Jennifer Vanover, Patent Attorney, GrayRobinson, P.A.

Bio: 

Jennifer Vanover is a senior associate with the law firm of GrayRobinson working out of the Jacksonville and Gainesville offices. Jennifer’s practice includes intellectual property, technology, internet, software, licensing and other commercial transactions. She regularly assists clients with the selection, procurement, protection, enforcement and licensing of their intellectual property rights and confidential and proprietary information. Jennifer represents a wide array of clients including large corporations, nonprofit and religious organizations, start-up companies, technology and internet companies, and individuals. She has extensive experience prosecuting state, federal and foreign trademark applications for a variety of clients. In addition, she regularly assists clients in preparing and negotiating intellectual property and technology agreements relating to the commercialization and distribution of their intellectual property, including licensing agreements, manufacturing and supply agreements, non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, distribution agreements, SaaS agreements and other service agreements.  Jennifer graduated with a BA in Chemistry and Criminal Justice from Westfield State University. She obtained her J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. She is admitted to practice in Florida and with the USPTO.
