Bio: 
Megan Klingbeil, is an accounting and audit partner at Anchin with more than 13 years of experience. Megan is a member of the Firm’s Food and Beverage and Beauty, Health and Wellness Industry Groups, providing accounting, business, and tax planning services for privately held companies including supermarkets, distributors, manufacturers, and emerging brands.  Her clients range from aggressively developing businesses to well-established companies.  Megan's experience extends to assisting clients with mergers and acquisitions, tax strategies and securing financing/funding.  She is an active member of Anchin’s Women’s Initiative Network (AWIN) and Anchin’s CARE Committee, which plans the Firm’s charity and recreational events. Megan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA).  She earned a B.B.A in Accounting from Hofstra University.

 

Carolyn SekosanDirector at Anchin, Block & Anchin LLP

 

Bio: 
Carolyn Sekosan is a director at Anchin and a member of the Firm’s Fashion Industry Group. She has more than 20 years of experience providing audit and accounting services to privately held businesses in the commercial sector.  Carolyn has worked extensively with retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors and service companies. She serves a range of clients from developing companies to well-established businesses with specialties such as apparel and jewelry, art, and law. Her experience extends to assisting clients in securing financing.  She is a member of Anchin’s Women’s InitiativeNetwork (AWIN) and a member of the American Institute of CertifiedPublic Accountants (AICPA).   She earned a B.B.A. from Iona College.

Rachel Langenthal, Tax Manager at Anchin, Block & Anchin LLP

 

Bio: 

 

Rachel Langenthal, is a manager in Anchin’s Beauty and Consumer Products Groups with 11 years of experience serving privately held CPG and services companies. She has extensive experience with tax planning and helping her clients solve complicated issues.  Rachel is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). She earned a B.B.A in Accounting and Marketing at Emory University and a Masters Degree in Taxation from Fordham University.

 

Sharon Ackerman, Tax Director  at Anchin, Block & Anchin LLP

 

Bio: 
Sharon Ackerman, CPA, is a tax director in the Tax Controversy Services Group at Anchin.  Sharon has more than 20 years of experience representing both corporate and individual clients before the IRS, state and local taxing authorities. Sharon specializes in residency exams and issues as well as income tax exams on the Federal, state and city level.  Her expertise extends to sales tax issues, corporate nexus issues, IRS and state tax examinations. She has successfully defended many clients before the IRS in various audit stages and has advised clients on voluntary disclosure for various state tax agencies. Sharon’s efforts have resulted in the saving of millions of dollars for her clients.  Sharon can address the complex web of different state tax obligations that affect the beauty and consumer industry.  Sharon has a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Maryland.
